Reroute & Detours| Weekly Update

Monday, May 18th 2015


Delays | Downtown Sacramento on Thursday, May 21st 2015

Due to multiple events occurring in Sacramento on Thursday, May 21st 2015, Yolobus Routes will experience minor delays throughout the day. We advise our riders to plan their trips ahead of time.

Holiday | Memorial Day

Yolobus will operate on a Sunday schedule for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25th 2015. Only routes 35, 40, 42A/B, 211, 212, 215, and 240 will operate. No other routes will be in service.


Repost | City of Woodland's Main St. Closure & Farmers Market

Yolobus Routes 215, 45 PM, and 242 PM have resumed normal service on Monday, May 11th 2015. However, due to sidewalk constructions near the new Courthouse, the Westbound Main St. at 5th bus stop will be temporarily relocated a few feet west of the actual stop and a temporary bus stop sign will be installed.

Beginning Saturday, May 16th 2015, Route 215 will be rerouted from 7:00 am till 1:00 pm for the weekly Woodland's Farmers Market on Main St. and the following bus stops will not be served during that time frame:


*         Main St. at 5th

*         Main St. at Elm

Please board Route 215 buses at Court St. at 2nd. The same reroute and detour will occur on Saturday, May 23rd and on Saturday, May 30th 2015.


Repost | Downtown Sacramento & West Sacramento's Farmers Markets

Starting Thursday, May 7th 2015 until Thursday, September 24th 2015, Capitol Mall in Downtown Sacramento will be partially closed for the weekly Farmers Market.

Due to the closure, Yolobus Routes going through Capitol Mall will be rerouted every Thursday from 09:00 AM until 02:00 PM. The following routes will affected by the closure:


*         Route 42A/42B - Intercity

*         Route 40/41 - West Sacramento Local

*         Route 240 - West Sacramento Shuttle

The following bus stop will be partially closed:


*         5th St. at Capitol Mall

o   Route 42A (Closed)

o   Route 42B (Drop-Off Only)

o   Route 40/41 (Closed)

o   Route 240 (Closed for Outbound buses)

Moreover, starting Thursday, May 7th 2015 until Thursday, September 24th 2015, West Capitol Ave. in West Sacramento will also be closed for the weekly West Sacramento Farmers Market.

Due to the closure, Yolobus Routes going through West Capitol Ave. will be rerouted every Thursday from 02:00 PM until 09:00 PM. The routes affected by the closure include:


*         Route 42A/42B - Intercity

*         Route 35 - Southport Local

*         Route 40/41 - West Sacramento Local

*         Route 240 - West Sacramento Shuttle

*         Route 241 - West Sacramento Commute

The following bus stops will be closed:


*         West Capitol Ave. and Jefferson (Westbound and Eastbound)

*         West Capitol Ave. and Merkley

*         Westacre Rd. and West Capitol Ave.

A temporary bus stop on West Capitol at Merkley, across the street from the Transit Center, will be opened during the reroute times for eastbound trips into Downtown Sacramento.


Repost | Update on 5th St. Entertainment & Sports Complex in Downtown Sacramento

All reroutes related to the 5th St. Closure in Downtown Sacramento for the Entertainment and Sports Complex are still in effect and until further notice.

The reroutes will be in place every weeknight (Monday night through Saturday morning) from 7:00 pm till 5:00 am the next day.

The affect bus routes include:


*         Route 42B - Intercity

*         Route 240 - West Sacramento Shuttle

The following bus stops will not be served by the affected routes until further notice:


*         J St. at 6th

*         J St. at 8th

Please board Yolobus buses at the Capitol Mall at 7th bus stop.
