Reroutes, Detours and Potential Traffic Congestion | Weekly Update

Golden 1 Center - Disney on Ice - Downtown Traffic Congestion
The City of Sacramento will be employing traffic control at various intersections in Downtown Sacramento this weekend due to the Disney on Ice event at Golden 1 Center.    Street closures will not take place and thus this is not considered a major event.  Y Shuttle will not be used. Please expect possible minor delays in arrival and departure times this weekend.
Reroute | Run Because You Can
On Sunday, November 6th 2016, from 6:00 am till 12:00 pm Capitol Mall and the Tower Bridge will be closed for the Run Because You Can 5k. Due to these closures, Yolobus Routes traveling through Downtown Sacramento will be rerouted only during the specified times. The affected bus routes include Routes 42A, 42B, 40, and 240. Yolobus will resume normal service after 12:00 pm on Sunday, November 6th, 2016.

The affected bus routes include:


*         Route 42A/42B - Intercity

*         Route 40 - West Sacramento Local

*         Route 240 - West Sacramento Shuttle

The following bus stops will not be served during the Run Because You Can 5k from 6:00 am till 12:00 pm on Sunday, November 6th, 2016:


*         5th St at G St. (Northbound and Southbound)

*         3rd St at G St. (Northbound and Southbound)

*         Tower Bridge Gateway & Raley Field (Eastbound and Westbound)

*         W. Capitol Ave & Hotel

*         N St. at 4th

*         N St. at 7th

*         15th St. at K

*         9th St. at L

*         5th St. at Capitol Mall

*         Capitol Mall at 7th

*         Capitol Mall at 3rd

*         Capitol Mall at Front (Eastbound and Westbound)


Please board buses at:
L St. & 13th St. (Downtown Sacramento) or at the West Sacramento Transit Center

Reroute | Golden Gate Drive Closure (extended)
>From Wednesday, October 19th through Friday, November 11th , Golden Gate Drive between Cooper Island and Half Moon Bay Circle in West Sacramento will be closed due to construction. Route 35 and Route 39 will be rerouted during these specific times.
Routes affected by the closure:

  *   Route 35
  *   Route 39
Stops that will be closed during the reroute:

*         Golden Gate & Tortola (SB)

*         Oakland Bay Dr. at Golden Gate (EB)

o   This stop will be moved around the corner onto Golden Gate Dr. and Oakland Bay Dr. (SB) - see map below
Please board buses at Southport at Oakland Bay Dr.
