Reroutes, Detours and Potential Traffic Congestion | Weekly Update

West Sacramento/Downtown Sacramento - Giants Race, Walk MS, and  Earth Day Celebration
Saturday, April 30th 2018
Reroute | Giants Race, Walk MS, and Earth Day Celebration

On Saturday, April 21st 2018, from 6:00 am till 3:00 pm, Capitol Mall, Tower Bridge, and West Capitol Avenue between Jefferson Blvd and Merkley Ave will be closed due to Giants Race, Walk MS, and Earth Day Celebration. Due to these closures, Yolobus Routes traveling through Downtown Sacramento will be rerouted only during the specified times. The affected bus routes include Routes 35, 42A/42B, 40, and 240. Yolobus will resume normal service on Saturday, April 21st 2018 after 3:00 pm.

The affected bus routes include:


  *   Route 35 - Southport Local
  *   Route 40 - West Sacramento Local
  *   Route 240 - West Sacramento Shuttle
  *   Route 42A/42B - Intercity

The following bus stops will not be served:

  *   West Capitol Avenue at Jefferson Boulevard  (Eastbound and Westbound)
  *   West Capitol Avenue at Merkley Avenue
  *   Tower Bridge Gateway & Raley Field (Eastbound and Westbound)
  *   Capitol Mall at Front (Eastbound and Westbound)
  *   5th St. at Capitol Mall
  *   N St. at 7th
  *   Capitol Mall at 7th
  *   9th St. at L St.
  *   L St. at 11th St.
  *   L St. at 13th St.
  *   16th St. at K St.
Temporary stops will be served for route 35

  *   West Capitol Ave at Merkley Ave (Across from Subway)

Temporary stops will be served for routes 40 and 240 at:

  *   West Capitol Ave at Merkley Ave (Across from Subway)
  *   J St. at 4th St.
  *   7th St. at J St.
Temporary stops will be served for routes 42A/42B

  *   I St. at 11th St.
  *   7th St. at J St.
