Davis Community Network Board of Directors Meeting

December 13, 2011, 5:15 pm

Davis Senior Center Game Room, A Street, Davis

Members present (7): Bill Buchanan, Sheila Evans, Jim Frame, Anne Hance, Teri Greenfield, Russ Hobby, Steve McMahon 

Members absent (5): Tsui Chang, Jan Meizel, Richard Yamagata, Robert Nickerson, and Kimball Sargeant.

1. President Teri Greenfield called the meeting to order at 5:24 pm

2. The agenda was approved as distributed - by consensus

3. No public comment 

4. The minutes of the Nov. 15, 2011 meeting were approved by consensus

5. Nomination of Board Officers 2012 9ill Buchanan

Bill reported that the following board members have agreed to serve for 2012

President,  Teri Greenfield

Vice Pres, Bill Buchanan

Secretary, Steve McMahon

Treasurer, Jim Frame (Chief Financial Officer)

Election of Officers will take place at the January Board Meeting.

6. City Room Update

Sheila and Steve reported that City staff are talking to the school district about DCN's need for replacement space for classes and meetings now that the City Training Room is changing its City function. It looks likely that classes may be able to be held in a school district computer lab on C Street. Space for board and committee meetings is still being researched.

7. Committee reports 

The RAC is not meeting this month and reported one request that is being handled by email
