DCN Class - "Wi-Fi Router"

Want to enjoy the convenience of Wi-Fi and its many uses in your organization or at home? Come and learn how to set up a wireless router, secure it, and do port forwarding in a set of two classes. Tue., 10/11/2011 and 10/25/2011, 6:30 p.m. at the City Training Lab. Free and open to the public. Pre-registration required.

Location: City Training Lab, 600 A Street (between City Hall and the Senior Center).  Parking available south of the building.  Enter the courtyard on the south side of the building; the lab will be the first door on your right. 

Date amd Time:

  • Wi-Fi Router Part I - How to Set Up a Wireless Router and Secure It
    Tuesday, 10/11/2011, 6:30-8:00 p.m. This class covers basic concepts of routing, and safe operation and usage of the router.
  • Wi-Fi Router Part II - Port Forwarding:
    Tuesday, 10/25/2011, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Learn how to set up port forwarding to get private devices available on the public Internet.
