Integrating the Web Calendar With Your Website - How To

The Web Calendar can be used as a stand alone.  It can also be integrated with your website.  

Note to SimpleSite users: If DCN's Web Calendar tool has been approved for your organization, you must contact DCN's Web Team ( to request integrating the two.  This calendar is different from the default SimpleSite calendar. Events entered through this calendar will automatically be displayed on your SimpleSite once they're integrated.  You will then have the options to:

  1. flag your selected events for display in the the Davis Community Calendar (Guidelines apply).
  2. add your calendar to the listing of participating organizations appended to the Davis Community Calendar.

If you are not a SimpleSite user and want to present the calendar from within your existing website, please refer the documentation section from your calendar's administrative interface (see appended diagram).

  1. Log in to your web calendar by adding "/edit" to the end of your calendar's web address (e.g.  Then hit the return-key.
  2. From the options near the top right corner, select "Documentation".  Then click on the link for "Integrating the Event Calendar With Your Website".  You will see the instructions and can copy the coding specific to your calendar.
