Turn An Item into a Private/Public State - How To

You can easily hide/unhide the public view of an item, be it your site, a folder, a page, a file, an image, a link, a news item, etc.

Here are the steps:

  1. Log in and select the item you want to turn private.
  2. Click on "state", then select "make private" from the drop-down menu (see illustration below).  The text for "private" will turn red.  If you want the item to be visible to the public again, click on "state", then select "Promote to Draft".
  3. Log out when you're done.
