DCN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education and community service organization, founded in 1993. DCN is dedicated to helping local people take advantage of and benefit from the new information and communication technologies and services associated with the Internet and media convergence.

We have recently released short step-by-step video tutorials for DCN's Nonprofit Internet Toolkit. The toolkit includes tools for SimpleSites, email list management and web calendars. Topics range from adding a Facebook box to your SimpleSite, changing your website's visual theme, embedding a video, to changing Mailman's administrative password.

What a fabulous class on digital image basics! Instructor Nick Cheng effectively put complex concepts into readily digestible language and balanced the demonstration with fun filled hands-on. When you leave the class, you'll have a conceptual understanding of how a digital image is stored, what factors affect image size and appearance, tips for managing images and tools you can utilize to ensure your images are ready for printing and/or posting on the web.
