Meeting Notes

Members present: Chiles, Evans, Hance
Members absent: Bodenhorn, Brattesani, Seth, Yamagata,
Visitors: Tsui Chang, Susan Lovenburg, Ning Wan, Diane Casey,
Joan Crawford, Yayun Zhang

1. Call to order at 6:32PM
2. Approve Agenda with addition of discussion of DHS Grad Night
pictures project.

3. Review Projects:
a) Claire Black Slotton did not attend to present the request
from the Progressive book Activism Club

b) Susan Lovenburgh presented the request of a Simple Site
for Emerson Jr Hi PTA.
RAC approved the request.
It appears that the ejh@dcn.org dial-up account that was
supposed to be closed in June 2003 is still active although it is only
being used to redirect email to the PTA representative's own email
account. Anne will make arrangements for this account to be
adjusted so that it is no longer a dial-up but can remain as an email
only shell account

Susan made an additional request on behalf of the Willett
PTA Garden project. She asked for a Simple Site and the RAC
approved the request provisionally. Full approval will be depend upon
receipt of an official request via the RAC online application form.

c) Diane Casey, Joan Crawford and Ning Wan presented the
request from SKIES [Parent's Group, Special Kids in Education].
This is a new group still in the process of establishing itself.
RAC approved: 1 Shell with 25MB, 2 Lists, and 1 Calendar.

d) Ning Wan made an additional request on behalf of the
Chinese School which is already using some DCN RAC-approved
resources. She asked for a Forum and the RAC approved the request
provisionally. Full approval will be depend upon receipt of an official
request via the RAC online application form.

4. We reviewed Anne's proposal for the use of a PDF derived from
her FileMaker Pro database as new type of communication to Project
Leaders.

5. Other: Tsui Chang introduced a potential request on behalf of the
DHS Grad Night organizers who would like to post print-quality
photos taken by several photographers during the Grad Night
celebrations for a brief period of time (one or two months?). Concern
was expressed about the amount of space needed and potential DCN
liability for posting of unauthorized images. Anne and Tsui will bring
the issue to the attention of the DCN Executive Committee of the
Board.

Adjourn at 7:55PM

Next meeting: Wednesday.June 1, 2005
