Davis Community Network
Resource Allocation Committee
Regular Meeting Sep.6, 2006
Meeting Notes

Members present: Chiles, Evans, Hance,

Members absent: Bodenhorn, Brattesani, Crumley, Yamagata
Visitors: Sarah Boon, Tomoya Saito, Ariel Boone

1. Called to order at 6:37 p.m.
2. Agenda was approved

3. We reviewed the following project:

Project Name: DHS Key Club
Presented by Tomoya Saito and Ariel Boone
The current adult sponsor for the project is Sarah Boone. The
DHS teacher Scott Richardson is an advisor to the Key Club and
remains a sponsor for this project albeit currently an inactive one.
We approved:
1 mailman List (approved Aug 21)
1 Simple Site
1 Calendar
To start immediately on Sep 7. 2006 - end indefinite.

4. We ratified the requests approved in August between meetings:
Davis Combined junior High Orchestra - Calendar
DHS Da Vinci Hight - Mailman List

5. We had an interesting conversation about the fact that RAC
requests are dwindling and without Richard Lowenberg stirring up area
groups' interest about DCN resources we need to actively promote the
opportunities. This should involve an occasional notice for the
Enterprise 'Briefly' section (Anne said she'd do this), Notices to
the Aggie, local cable, KDRT and the Enterprise should happen
routinely and regularly. We will talk about this again and in the
meantime encourage the DCN board to actively promote DCN and its
services.

Note; Anne Evans is very eager to host on the DCN web some of the
video material she has created (and is creating) with various local
groups. This ties in well with the proposed new DCN initiative being
spear-headed by Kari Peterson with Vicki Suter and Jan Meizel.

Adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
Next meeting October 4, 2006
